Artemis Barn Shortlisted for RIBA East Midlands 2017 Award

We’re pleased to announce that Artemis Barn in Castleton has been shortlisted for East Midlands Royal Institute of British Architects 2017 Award. We worked collaboratively on this project, which saw a group of farm buildings be converted into a single residential house. It celebrates the existing qualities of the barns, with the historic external appearance preserved and materials used have been inspired by the barns recent agricultural past, with steel left exposed and timber rough-sawn.

Winners will be announced on Awards evening at The Roundhouse, Derby on Thursday 25 May.

Lime Tree barn commencement on site

Work on site has now started at Lime Tree Barn in Ashover. This is the second consecutive collaboration with Care Chiles and Evans Architects converting a historic and dilapidated barn structure into residential accommodation. Work on site is anticipated to take approximately one year.
