What is your work background?

Over 30 years working as structural engineer, of which during the last 10 years I’ve been primarily carrying out structural surveys and inspections, preparing written reports on a wide variety of structures, from super quarries to commercial/retail premises, down to small residential properties.

If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why?

Noel Gallagher, although probably not considered a historical figure….yet. Although as the saying goes ‘you should never meet your heroes’.

If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you be?

The Maldives – I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks there, island hopping on water planes and spending a day on a deserted island….amazing.

What is the worst job you have ever done?

Delivery boy for a local greengrocer. I had one of those big black bikes with a basket on the front like Granville from Open All Hours!

What is your favourite food?

Mmmm…..can’t decide between peri peri and jerk chicken.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you want to have with you?

My acoustic guitar, sand wedge and fully stacked pop-up bar.

What item, that you don’t have already, would you most like to own?

A Gibson ES-355 semi-hollow guitar.

What are your hobbies / favourite pastimes?

Golf, football and walking by the sea to a little pub in North Berwick, although my young daughter says we need a dog for all the walking!
