With over 20 years’ experience, Nick has a broad range of expertise in Structural Engineering. Prior to founding BDI he spent five years with a leading consultancy, six years with a Specialist Foundations Contractor and three years handling technical building claims with a firm of Loss Adjusters.

He has extensive experience in the diagnosis of building defects, including foundation problems, concrete repairs and historic buildings. Proofing his skills and considerable experience designing engineering structures for a wide range of new and refurbishment projects and an extensive knowledge of the insurance claims process.

Nick is actively involved with the Institution of Structural Engineers at a local and international level and also sits on the Industry Panel for the Civil & Structural Engineering Department of Bolton University.
