Design of an extension over an existing building; formerly used as a police station. The existing structure was assessed to ensure that the additional storeys could be accommodated and load tests were completed to verify that the existing slim floors were suitable for use.
A new below ground drainage system was designed to accommodate the increased capacity of the building and to also accommodate a betterment in surface water runoff discharging from the site as directed by statutory authority.
